Primila has considerable experience in the corporate commercial sector specializing in the oil and gas, construction and maritime industries. Previously as in – house counsel for many oil and gas and public listed companies, she has extensive in depth experience in advising, negotiating and drafting contracts tailored for the oil and gas industry with extensive experience with cross border transaction. The consultancy she heads has a unique approach in providing legal consultancy services for transactional and advisory work which is industry specific.

Her experience spans across domestic and international cross border matters and multi-jurisdictional work. She has specific hands on knowledge and in depth experience in negotiating and drafting EPC, FPSO, Charter Party, Shipbuilding, Ship Conversion and Ship repair contract among others. She frequently appointed to conduct a bid evaluation of an FPSO projects in Vietnam for an international Joint Operation Company.

She advise clients both operators and contractors in the Asia Pacific region in managing cros border risks by identifying and working out strategies to overcome such risks. She conducts training extensively both in the region and internationally in locations like Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines,Vietnam and London for clients and participants from across the globe.

She is Immediate Past President of the Malaysian Corporate Counsel Association, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitration and author on the chapter on Malaysia in the publication Getting The Deal Through- Shipping 2011, columnist for Malaysian Business on the Oil and Gas industry and Senior Writer for the Oil and Gas Asia Business Plus magazines. Recently she has been awarded the accolade of 2011 Shipping Lawyer of the Year in Malaysia by corporate INTL Magazine, UK.
