Who are the trainers who conduct this course

  • The Course Content and Trainers / Facilitators are from MIArb and as the Trainers are practicing lawyers and arbitrators,.

How frequent are the intakes in a year?

  • There are 2 intakes in a year which in March & August

What is the difference between MIArb and CIArb?

  • MIArb is the professional association of arbitrators in Malaysia whereas the CIArb is UK based.Although there is no agreement of any collaboration between these 2 organizations, our students who have obtained the PDIA have been accepted as members to CIARB

If I pass the exam, I would only have a Professional Diploma in International Arbitration?

  • The Fee includes course materials, classes, exam fees and a one year subscription as an Affiliate Member of MIArb [however successful candidate must be a degree holder in any field to be eligible for said membership]. Successful candidates can upgrade to a full membership by paying a annual subscription at a special rate of RM350. It must be noted that in normal cases members of the public who are arbitrators and/or other applicants who wish to be members must be invited by MIArb i.e. membership is by invitation only.

If I pass the exam, will I be qualified enough to register myself to be an arbitrator?

  • Yes. But please note that just like fresh LLB graduates would not be invited to adjudicate matters or sit as judges, to be invited/appointed to be an arbitrator in dispute resolution process you will need experience and “niche branding” i.e. in particular niches like OIL GAS, SHIPPING, CONSTRUCTION, IP, MEDICAL SERVICES etc. so that your skills and expertise is known in the respective industry. If you already have experience in these or other areas, the PDIA would definitely fast-track your career as an Arbitrator. If not or if you are a fresh undergraduate, we have processes to help you with this post PDIA.

What is the fee for this course?

  • The fee is RM5,000. However, we have an early bird fee offer with 10% RM4,500 and BAC Alumni discount (i.e. with 20% discount) if full payment is made by the saying dates

Do we get a Certificate for attending this course?

  • Yes certificate is provided for those attending this course with compulsory attendance.

Where and when this course is conducted?

  • All our course will be conducted at BAC PJ CAMPUS Certificate courses will be during weekend 10am -5pm meanwhile all our VALUE ADD &Master class will be on weekdays all this course is a full-day course.

What is the fee structure for the courses?

  • For an existing student of UOL /UKT both ALA Value Add & Certificate is free and it’s already included in your tuition. There is a fee for outsider / working adults who like to enroll for the certificate program andspecial rate for BAC Alumni.
